Erin Hunter’s series:
"WARRIORS", is all based on a group of organised clans in the forest that fight for the right to territory and the essentials in life; but, it all really started when Rusty, a kittypet, came to the forest.
u__^p This wonderful saga of books by Erin Hunter all started with a kittypet (,clan name for house-pet) named Rusty, whom got bored of the lazy life in the neighborhood of twolegs (,clan name for humans), and decided to leave his life behind, to explore the forest that he had admired on the other side of his gate for as long as he could possibly remember…
Rusty decided to leave -even after his best friend, Smudge, discouraged him so much-, at dawn. And, after saying his last farewells, he headed out into the forest that was so unfamiliar, yet, felt so much like home, and looked exactly like he had seen it in dreams before. Not long after he headed out, did he meet his future best friend: Graypaw, and two of the cats he will admire most in his young life: Bluestar, leader of Thunderclan; and Lionheart, one of the senior warriors of Thunderclan. Bluestar took him into Thunderclan, inspired by the message from Starclan, received by the Thunderclan medicine cat: Spottedleaf. The message was: Fire alone can save the clan… Fire, being the new name given to Rusty in his apprentice naming ceremony: Firepaw.
Firepaw went through serious training for long moons (clan name for months), and had several mentors, one of them Bluestar-which is an honor as she is clan leader. Sadly, Firepaw always had to prove himself twice as much as everyone because he wasn’t clan-born, and that is considered a disgrace to the warrior code- a code given by Starclan (the warrior clans’ ancestors), and must be respected by every clan cat. Even after proving a lot of times that he was worthy of being treated like a clan-born cat, lots of cats still didn’t treat him like an ordinary apprentice. Although lots of cats didn’t make life easy for poor Firepaw, he still managed to find a place in his clan and, he always had Bluestar by his side to help him. Firepaw also found a deep love for Spottedleaf, that had to remain in his heart, because it is forbidden for medicine cats to have a mate; but even in all this freedom, he managed to make an enemy called Tigerclaw: a respected cat in his clan for his fighting skills, and mentor of Ravenpaw: Firepaw’s second best friend amongst the clans.
Not long after Firepaw arrived in the clans, Ravenpaw returned from a battle with Riverclan over Sunningrocks with an injured shoulder. And since that battle, Ravenpaw seemed unusually shocked, and didn’t talk as much as he had always used to… Only after a long time of depression, did Ravenpaw finally give in and tell Firepaw and Graypaw his dark secret: Ravenpaw had been witness to the treacherous and bloodthirsty murder of Redtail, the Thunderclan deputy, committed by Tigerclaw. Firepaw then found out that Tigerclaw was planning to kill Ravenpaw because he had seen too much, but, after a battle to help Shadowclan, Firepaw and Graypaw put him to refuge in a barn outside clan territories with a loner (a cat that does not live within the clans or with twolegs and therefore, must take care of himself and noone else) called Barley. Soon Firepaw, and sometimes Graypaw, ended up helping every clan at least once, which led them to their warrior naming ceremonies, giving them the names of: Fireheart and Graystripe.
