The first part of this story.

“Look out!” the cry echoed through Charlie’s head as he rushed downhill. Burning trees and grass made him wonder if he’ll ever reach safety.  He was bleeding, but did not feel any pain whatsoever. “I must reach them…I need to warn them…”, he said to himself when suddenly, the ground under him disappeared and for a fraction of a second Charlie saw IT – the dark metal alloy, green acid and flames of hell everywhere. “It’s over…” Charlie thought as he plummeted downwards, “it’s all over now…”

“I hate when it’s cold outside”, said Murnok “what are we doing here anyway?” Bobby looked at him and said “Research, always research…” Deep inside he was worried about everything they were doing here, but he didn’t want to frighten anyone yet “Could you hand me the drill?” he asked. The sound of drilling disturbed the silence of the snowy night. “Full moon”, Murnok said, “ it means bad luck.” “You’re gonna’ need more than luck if captain finds you here, you know that you must stay at camp” Murnok stood up, took a long look at the dark and snowy sky and said “Alright, good luck there, champ…”

“Was it all a dream?” Charlie though as he woke up in pitch darkness, “Is it already night?” He tried to move, but couldn’t. His legs were stuck and he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. “Damn it!” he shouted out, “Why must I suffer even more?! Isn’t losing the only people close to you enough?!” there was nothing he could do. Feeling weak and exhausted, he started crying… After some time Charlie heard a loud rumbling noise, he was asleep and thought that he had a bad dream. He was wrong. To Charlie’s surprise, the earth split up and he saw a bright light in the sky “Mommy?” he called, half conscious.

The drill stopped. Wondering why, Bobby took it out and suddenly got blinded by the green light that was coming out of the hole. “So it’s true”, he thought “they did use radioactive ingredients…” Bobby got out of the hole with his arms shivering and ran to camp. “This whole place can turn into a radioactive slime pool any second!” He heard a weird noise behind him, he looked around, felt a shock and fell on the ground, he was bleeding from the nose. “Damn! Bobby, is that you?” a voice from the dark forest called. “Yeah, it’s me alright…”
