The next addition in the Boredom Hits Americans series.
But the Glacks didn’t let the Airborne go unnoticed. 3 of the Glacks were firing at Zaphod’s Frack, while the rest of the Glackfernation was attacking the Frackernation. Zaphod’s men were dodging bullets more than firing, but they did their fair share of damage. It seemed like a lost war for the Fracks, and they had lost hope. But Zaphod’s Frack did something unexpected, something that the Frackernation has seen before. They shut off their jetpacks, and swooped down with their wings, still firing from above. This caused some extra damage, but left everyone vulnerable. Kenny got some lethal bullets in the chest as well as the wings, and he dropped out of the sky.
“Oh my god!” screamed Tom. “They killed Kenny!”
“You Bastards!” Tim yelled.
As the fight continued, the Keisnicken was empty, aside from the occasional Glack that needed supplies.
By this time, Zaphod had already found what he was looking for on the roof of the Keisnicken: A simple trapdoor leading to a staircase which allowed him access to a very dark room. It didn’t help that there weren’t any lights. If there was at least one window, maybe he could see what he was tripping on, and why every other step he heard a loud crunch sound. He decided to launch a flare so he could see.
The room was now dimly lit, but it was enough to show him that the crunching noise was a bunch of cockroaches! He still didn’t know what he was tripping over. He found a metal box on the wall, containing an emergency shut-off switch. He pulled it, and he could hear the Keisnicken’s electricity flow stop. He knew someone would be up soon to check out what happened, so he went straight out the door on the same wall, and went down the stairs to another dark room. There was another trapdoor leading to the Keisnicken’s general merchandise area, now dark, where any Glack in need would be. From his experience as a Glacker, he knew he would need to jump out of this trapdoor and extend his wings to glide into the doorway leading to the Basement.
He knew he needed to hurry. By now, there wouldn’t be many Fracks left, and he needed as many people as possible to finish the task. He glided into the basement. He landed at the bottom of the staircase, and the basement was glowing red. He knew why. It was because of his target, the Fusion Reactor. He retracted his wings. He needed to find a way to destroy it, and when he did, he would have limited time to get as far away as possible.
