The next addition in the Boredom Hits Americans series.
As they proceeded along the trail, they were much more cautious. Along the way, they had killed a few more guards, but eventually an alarm rose. They found the Frackernation Hideout, unfortunately they were apparently enemies to the Frackernation.
“I have to go shut off the alarm,” said Zaphod. “You guys keep the Frackers busy. I’m going solo.”
And almost as soon as he had said it, he was off, through the tall grass towards the Frackernation hideout.
It was now Mat4ney, Tom, Tim, iFondle, Private, JJ, and Kenny against every Frack present at the hideout. Zaphod was going undercover, presumably to shut off the alarm.
The group of 7 was met by at least 15 or 20 different Fracks, each containing at least 15 Frackers. They had to react quickly.
Suddenly, all air was filled with gunfire, but before the Fracks could do anything, the group of 7 was on the ground. The Fracks hadn’t noticed this, so they took most of the hit. Mat4ney and iFondle got hit in the legs a couple times, but they could keep going.
The Fracks soon learned what they were doing, and adjusted accordingly. The group of 7 reacted by lifting off with their jetpacks in different directions (but still in a line), all aiming at the same mass of people. Gunfire from the sky, gunfire from the ground, gunfire everywhere, it’s a surprise nobody of the 7 died. But the outside two in the sky, Mat4ney and JJ, both had rocket launchers. They pulled those out and launched those as they started to swoop down toward the mass. Progressively, everyone else followed, performing an impressive display of coordination and power.
But then the 7 did something completely unexpected. They flew low to the grass and dropped in random areas, all around the Fracks. They were motionless. All sound, except for the newly created fires from the rocket launcher and the alarm from the hideout, stopped. Everyone was tense, and ready for something to happen.
There was a sudden rustling on one side of the Fracks.
It stopped.
There was a rustling on the other side.
It stopped.
There was rustling everywhere. Not just directly to the sides, but surrounding them outside the trails. The Fracks couldn’t determine an exact location of any enemy, so they fired randomly into the brush. The 7 returned fire, eliminating another tenth of their entire army. The war rages on, the Fracks unaware that the men are on the ground yet again.
