It was a winter evening, cold, and snowy. John walked out on the street towards the little hidden store he had found way back when his parents died. John was thirteen now, he walked through the streets alone. He learned that if you don’t mess with them, they won’t mess with you. He wondered why they messed with his parents…

What do I need again? He thought oh yeah, I need milk, and I need some bread. He was walking down the allies, unaware of the man following behind him like a hawk. As he walked out of the small grocery store, he walked by a dumpster. That’s all he could remember…

    He woke up on the freezing floor of an abandoned warehouse. He wasn’t handcuffed or anything of that nature, but he was surrounded by men.
“Shhhh. He’s waking up!” The short one hissed.
“Hey, young ‘un. What’s your name?” Asked the one on his right, who looks as though he was the leader.
“Um… Bob Josh.” John replied.
“Well then Bob, we’ve taken you here because we think you can complete a mission we have for you.”
“I don’t know, will I be rewarded with milk? I mean c’mon I was just mindin’ my own business on my way to get some milk and bread, and POW! Outta nowhere the dumpster jumped out and knocked me out!”
The men couldn’t help but start laughing.
“Hahah! Kid, we knocked you out, we were behind the dumpsters!”
“ Well whaddid you do that for!?”
“We just told you!”
“Oh, because you guys have a mission for me… Well do I get anything like a reward or somethin’?”
“Yeah, I guess, how’s fifty bucks?”
“Ok, I’ll go get started now” John got up and walked away.
“Wait! We haven’t told you what to do!”
“Oh yeah, so what’s up?”
“We need you to follow this map and take out this assassin.”
“Well I don’t have any weapons…”
“Here,” said the leader reaching into his pocket and handing John a little pistol. “that oughtta do the trick.”
“Um… sir, are you sure I can take out a famous assassin with this little thing?”
“Yeah,” The leader laughs. “Pistols beat shotguns any day!”
“Oh, ok then.” John got up and left, a second time.

“Well that took long enough!” Said one of the members after John had left.
“Ha lets go watch him to see what happens!” Said one of the others.

    John walked through the snow, looking at his map, and walking towards the X on the map.
