Aimee returns to her home world.
Yeah I guess. But it’s not the same.
“I get it, but you’ll make some good friends here.”
I hope so.
The car pulled up in front of the main house on the property. It was a cluster of clear green crystals, the front door carved to match the flying griffin crest on the iron gates. Jarron pressed the door chime and a man with short snow-white hair and vibrant amethyst eyes came to the door. The wrinkles at the corner of his eyes and the parenthesis shaped lines around his mouth indicating that this man was used to smiles and laughter.
She’ll be happy here I hope.
Kaben smiled and said, “You must be Aimee and Eridon. I’ve been looking forward to meeting you.”
Aimee smiled It’s nice to meet you to sir.
“Let’s show you to your quarters. Aimee you’ll be sharing a room with another apprentice. ” Kaben grabbed her bag and lead them to a small room set up in the attic. The walls were plain and the beds though small were clean, covered in crisp white linins.
“Feel free to decorate your side of the room to your taste.” Kaben said as he placed her bag on the bed, “Wardrobe over by the window, fresher unit on the other side, dinner’s at seven. I’ll leave you to get settled.”
Jarron noticed Aimee was looking nervous, “Everything ok?”
I haven’t done anything to earn this. Why let me sleep inside before I’ve proven myself?
Jarron smiled, “You will prove yourself here. But as for sleeping inside you don’t have to earn that here.”
