The year was 1920, only 2 years after the end of the World War. All of America was still struggling with the cut backs from the war, food was hard to get, but at least people didn’t starve. Snow was falling onto the streets, causing large road blocks. It didn’t really matter, because only the rich people could still afford to ride cars, as gas was also scarce.

The bell on top of Little Mario’s door rang as a man walked through. “Little” Mario Giusino, owner of the restaurant, turned his head to see the man. “Ehh, Don Bastone, what can I do for you? Is it pay time already?” Little Mario asked Don Bastone. Don Bastone’s full name was Luca Bastone and he was the Don of a large Italian-American Crime Syndicate, otherwise known as a Mafia or Cosa Nostra. He came from a average income family, but wanted more. He was a good man, just a bit greedy at times. Luca answered with a smile, “That’s what my advisor tells me. You been getting good business Mario?” Mario gave a big smile to Luca as he reached under the counter to grab his money, “Thanks to your boys business has been excellent, it seems Chicago is getting richer by the day.” Luca laughed a small bit as Mario said this. Mario had a small bag in his hand and he passed it along the counter to Luca. “One thousand and three hundred dollars there, I can’t believe I was able to pull off that much.” Luca gave Mario one last smile and a nod before he walked out the door.

Luca walked through the door of his apartment. It had been a long day of collecting tributes. His legs ached too much for him to stand much longer, he was too old for collecting, but he had sent all his men on jobs that day. Luca was fifty seven years of age and a widow. He crawled up the stairs to his room and opened the door. He had photos of his late wife, her name was Bella Messino and she died at only thirty one years old. Bella was pregnant at the time when she was gunned down by a local crime family, that was when Luca swore revenge and created his own criminal outfit. He was planning to kill Don Capello, the man that gunned down Luca’s wife. He still hasn’t done that though, as he never knew of the location of this man, and that is what he had many of his men doing most of the time. A messenger barged through Luca’s door shouting, “WE FOUND HIM! WE FOUND HIM!” Luca seem flustered at what the man was saying until the messenger explained it to him. “You found Capello? Where is he!?” Luca shouted with anger and joy. Messenger flinched as Luca yelled, “Um… in Las Vegas.” The messenger answered quickly though with slight hesitation.

Luca had arrived at the airport in less then an hour. He bought his ticket for the first available flight, fortunately for him it was in five minutes. He had 2 suitcases packed with weapons and another packed with a few clothes. When he was to arrived, he was planning to gut Capello like a fish. The angry look on Luca’s face stayed with him for the whole flight, even when he was asleep. When he awoke the plan was descending onto the airport. He had arrived in Las Vegas, ready to take vengeance.
