The Dallas Cowboy football player.
I was on duty one Saturday night and one of our local boys who played for the Dallas Cowboy football team was in town. I made a call in a night club and there he was surrounded by all the ladies and flashing his money like it was candy. I thought there was a fight was going on so I had called for back up, the dispatcher gave me the call as a disturbance call. When I arrived there was nothing going on so I called off the back up officers. The whole problem was is that the guys were mad because their ladies were flocked around mister Dallas Cowboy instead of them. I explained to the guys that there was nothing I could do in this situation. When I tried to talk to mister Dallas Cowboy he got smart ass on me. I left and did not think anymore about mister Dallas Cowboy.
The Sheriff called me on the radio and told me to go work traffic in one of the rural towns that he had several complaints. So I drove to the town and was set up on the side of the road in a 35MPH speed zone. I had given several tickets for going ten miles over the speed limit. Frankly I was bored out of my skull. About that time a red corvette came speeding through and I clocked at 95MPH. I proceeded to chase the vehicle down with red light and sirens blaring. I finally got the car to stop. When I approached the car low and behold it was mister Dallas Cowboy in person. I proceeded to write the ticket, he said you are not going to write me a ticket and told me I play for the Dallas Cowboys. I continued to write and informed him that I played for the Sheriffs Office and may I have your autograph. He called me every name in the book and said well I never. I retorted back I bet you have.
