Earth suffers from a devastating biological attack from Xenophobic aliens bent on wiping out all other intelligent life forms in the Galaxy. But on earth, they get much more than they bargain for.
Unfinished.
The driveway was at the dead end of a street, in between two 10ft brick walls(ordinary brick) was a large black metal gate that blocked the way into the property. On either side of the gate, situated on top of the pillars of brick were two camera’s roaming back and forth. These cameras were not for observing the grounds tho, they scanned retinas to decide if they should open the gate or not. The hundreds of other camera’s covering the entire grounds with their ever watchful eyes were taking that responsibility.
As they finally approached the gate the camera’s didnt change their motion, the gate just opened with an audible hiss as the hydrolic system yanked the gate open for them.
“I never get tired of that, its a lot like the Death Star’s doors.” Ben mentioned as they walked thru, heading towards the house.
“Yeah yeah, once again we’re going thru the same words. We’ve got to find something new to talk about” Joe added
“How about going over this dungeon run. we’ve never been this far in before.”
“Sure, i was thinking…” Paul began covering what the Boss and his minions we’re capable of. He was a brilliant tactician and planner. He had an absolutely uncanny ability to put together completely unrelated abilities and items to counteract anything this game could throw at them. There was even an occasion when the four of them had killed the Guardian of an instance that was designed to be unbeatable, and to keep all the players out until they had paid the game designer for the priviledge of entering. Of course Paul had payed, but then he decided that they we’re gonna get rid of it just for the fun of it.
As they walked up the path to the house, we got a good look at the castle. It was truly out of place, the grass on either side of the driveway was a vibrant deep green, the pond under the willow tree was rippling gently in the breeze. Moving in tandem with the feathery branches hanging down low over its surface. The estate was circular, providing equal distance between the castle itself and the brick walls. The distance between the walls and Castle was about 150 yards of long and flat grass lawn, and slightly sloped upwards to the castle. All of this provided a powerful advantage for the occupants, not so much for any would be invaders on the grounds. Each of the castles 5 towers had automatic weapons on computer controlled mounts. Paul was sure they would never be needed, but his father had put them in and he wanted to keep them. The pond and the willow tree we’re the only things on the entire estate that changed the landscape. Other than that and a few gardens nestled in the Castles shadow, the strategic advantage was absolute.
