Carol has a disappointment when she gets her new leg.
“Yes.”
“How is the walking coming?”
“Pretty good. I still need a walker, I hate it but I am on two legs for the first time in months. And it is getting better.”
Barb chimed in, “I see improvement every day. I expect to move her from the walker to crutches in a couple days, then to a cane in about two weeks.”
“Denise?”
“Great. I’m not ready to run yet but I can walk without support and I have been using one crutch for nearly a week with a few steps now and then without them.”
“I don’t want you to go out without them. No stupidity. Understand? Use crutches till Carol clears you to go without them. I am setting shooting schedules and I need you two healthy. Actually I need all of you healthy.”
“I will.”
“Me too.”
“If Carol isn’t there, Debbie is in charge, then Susan, then Barb. If none of them are there and either of you think something onme of you wants to do is a bad idea, that person is in charge.”
“Yes sir.”
“It is all about production. You know the drill Denise, the tire factory.” He laughed.
“Yes sir. How deep do you want the tread? What color do you want the sidewall?”
Fritz laughed. “You older women must be infecting her. Now she sounds like you.”
Denise piped up. “Is that bad?”
“I don’t think so.”
