Yuri joins the council of klonshara, and dicscovers that when your feeling confused and a bit down, there is nothing like some ultra cool armour and an electric knife to cheer you up.
Chapter Three – Beginning of a New Journey
5th November 2005. Parralex Day: 26th Polanga 3160
I woke with a strong beam of light emitting from the bedside window, it shone in my face like a sparkler had just gone off in my face. Although it was bright, it felt warm, ray after ray of heat beaming onto my face, it was quite pleasant. I threw the cover off me and flung my feet to the side of the bed, dangling them from the bed. I yawned a bit and jiggled my feet around to get the blood flow back to them. The blood flew to my ankles then made its way to my feet, regenerating the feeling in my feet. I dragged my foot up and placed it on my thigh and rubbed my foot to make sure it was really back. I then flung it to the floor, placing both feet on the floor and stood up. I walked over to the bathroom, got undressed and had a shower. The water was warm and soothing. I didn’t wash my hair. There was no conditioner or shampoo. (Then again why would there be shampoo in… wherever this is?)I put my clothes back on and peered outside to see if anyone was awake. The hallway was deader than a ghost. I listened closely and heard what seemed to be someone shouting, I glanced towards the window down the corridor, and began to walk to it. I peered over into the window and saw Malián outside with Shez and Caragan. They were out for a morning workout. They were doing sit ups and everything. It looked tiring just watching them, or maybe it was just my stomach telling me it was time to eat. I glanced behind me and saw the stairs that we used to come up, so I went back down them and looked for the kangaroo. I glanced towards the counter as I walked down the stairs, but no kangaroo. I then walked towards the door and opened it. I got a waft of fresh air as I opened the door; I then looked over towards Malián and the others. They stopped doing their exercises and looked towards me as though they were expecting me. They all slowly stood up walking towards me in a sort of triangle formation. Malián stopped in front of me, Shez and Caragan stopping behind him. “Chosen one, we still do not know your name. May you tell us what it is?” “Uh yeah… It’s Yuri Lanai.” “Very well, Yuri. We expected it was your name, we received this, this morning.” He reached down into his pack on his utility belt and dragged out an envelope. He handed the envelope to my non-resisting hand. I looked on the front, there was no name. No address. No nothing. I then looked on the back and it was sealed with a seal that resembled the crest on Malián’s armour. I eagerly ripped off the seal and opened the envelope. I slide the letter out and read it in my head.
