The first installment of many to encompass the story of the AKOS Consultancy and it’s employees. What will Brady Allen do when his employees start going missing and his company name starts getting tarnished? What lengths will a man of magical means go to in order to insure the safety of those he cares about?

Somewhere in Eastgate, a suburb of Cincinnati.

“Did you hear that last night?”  An older lady with her gray hair tucked up under a cloth hair wrap says as she speaks to a younger female dressed head to toe in workout gear standing outside of an older apartment building. “The noises coming from that apartment… it sounded like growls.” She pauses for a moment to shiver “and barks!  I know I heard barking up there.”  The younger woman shakes her head in a noncommittal gesture. “Now that woman that left this morning seemed like a nice enough girl, not someone I would expect to be into that sort of thing. And him!  I wouldn’t have thought him capable either!”
At that moment the sound of a closing door brought them up short and both turned to see a dark haired man walking toward them down the front walk.  He smiles at both of them, a little bounce in his step. “Good morning Mrs. Norris” he says to the older lady who jumps when he speaks “Now now Mrs. Norris, don’t be scared I don’t bite… much.” His laugh makes the younger woman smile and she takes the moment to look at him a bit more closely, obviously interested. A smile cracks his handsome face as he walks past the two of them.

“Good morning, Brady.  How you doin?”

“I’m not too bad Vanessa, you?” He unlocks and opens the door to a cobalt blue Dodge Nitro.

She giggles for a second before responding. “Oh, I could be better.”  Her hand seems to find his arm without her knowing it.

“Oh, I’m sure you’ll be fine.” He gives her hand a squeeze as he removes it from his arm. “And you Mrs. Norris, you’ll be fine too I’m sure.” He winks at them both before slipping into his car and pulling out in a hurry.

“Oh Vanessa, you have got to be joking.” The older lady, Mrs. Norris, looks reprovingly at her gossip companion.
