The first installment of many to encompass the story of the AKOS Consultancy and it’s employees. What will Brady Allen do when his employees start going missing and his company name starts getting tarnished? What lengths will a man of magical means go to in order to insure the safety of those he cares about?
“Not yet it isn’t, but it could be.”
“Then call me if it gets that far. And I do so hope it doesn’t get that far.” Before anyone can lodge a complaint or even make a comment at all the vampire was up and out the door with the speed of a very old and very powerful undead. Sonya looks up disgustedly and gives Braden a sad shrugging look as if to say he doesn’t speak for all vampires.
“Alright, I guess it’s all on us then.” He holds up a few case files in his hands. “These are recent cases where there have some unusual occurrences. Most of which we thought were simple or self explanatory but I think they need to be reviewed again.” He picks one file in particular. “This one for example, where one of the werewolves was cut by a silver knife while guarding a celebrity. The offender said he just wanted to see if the legends were true, but we need to talk to him and see if that’s really the case.” That file hits the table and he picks up another. “Here’s one where a client gave one of our vampires blood with garlic extract. He said that he had no idea the blood was tainted, and since garlic doesn’t harm vampires we let it go. We need to look more into that one as well. We have a lot to do. Bobby I want you to put together a team and start looking into these cases. Anyone you know that isn’t already on the payroll but is either a psychic or an empath, call them in. I want trustworthy people.” The overweight man nods and starts scribbling on his pad. “Amy, I hate to do this to you, but I think we need a sorcerer.”
She shivers despite herself, but nods. “Sorcerers are against nature, but I understand. You need a tracer on Kamiko, and only a sorcerer can do that.”
“Yes, I’m glad you understand. Sonya, have you spoken to the Sheriff’s Office yet?”
“I did, and I think more than ever that they have Swifty in custody. The man I spoke to has a mother that’s a witch and he thinks we’re doing good things so he’s sympathetic. He gave me some information that makes this seem like our favorite black kitty cat.” She types on her laptop, and looks back up. “The reports he sent me say that the unidentified naked black man was found in the middle of Beechmont Avenue just across from the apartment of Ryan Colby. Too much of a coincidence I think.”
“I agree. I’ll go there first thing to see if it’s him. If it is we’ll probably need some help so call Adam Tompkins and give him a heads up just in case. Ok people, lets get going on this I want answers as soon as possible.
