A fallen angel, to return to heaven, has to murder himself.
Xin stuck his tongue out. Was Dante really that influential? He was amazed. “Rise – rise. There’s no need – I mean, we gambled together before right?”
The Fairy King rised to this cue. “Thank you, Lord Dante.”
Xin nodded awkwardly.
“As I was saying earlier, I have requested your presence in my Kingdom for two reasons.”
Request? Abduction … Kidnapping .. is a request?
“The first being your wedding with my daughter. And the second – our war against the darkness.”
“The darkness?”
The Fairy King nodded. “They are approaching our door steps as I speak. We need your help, Lord Dante. Their forces are too huge for us to deal alone with.”
“But father, Dante’s fallen. He has not recovered his strength …”
“Actually … I have none.”
“Ah, you are always lying to me.” The King laughed gently.
“But -“
A huge siren abruptly sounded, throwing an alarmed Xin off his feet. The teenager clutched tightly at his ears as he knelt weakly against the ground.
What the hell ….
The Fairy King instantly snapped to his guards, his voice anxious and fearful. “Escort- escort us back to the palace. Quick.”
He turned to the Princess. “Find your brother. You two will lead the third and fifth battalion against the enemy. I will stay and guard this city with whatever we have.”
Finally, he turned to Xin. “Please … this city’s fate is in your hands.”
“Shadow, Lucifer has already agreed to dispatch ten battalions of his demons to vanquish the fairy kingdom. They are not the finesse though.”
“Whether they are the finesse – or not, it does not matter. Red, Feng, I believe the two of you know the true motive of this invasion.”
The handsome Seraphim levitated from his silvery white throne and walked upon the air, to the window. His gaze swept through and out of the window, to the vast land of heaven.
“Of course, Shadow. We do know. There are two agendas. The first, to destroy the fairies – whom our brother, Dante, is patron of. And the second, to eliminate the mortal Shang Xin, thereby removing our brother’s only key to return to heaven.”
