“Agent Stomper, welcome to the team” Director Corsica said heartily as he shook the newest member of the American Spy League International’s hand, Willy Stomper.
Willy pulled his ID card from his pocket and since he was still hurting from his fall, closed his eyes. “Hmm” Oscar said, and then he yelled “Like, hey Joe come here”. Stomper heard a door slam, and an unfamiliar voice said “Well Mr. Paper Airplane, nice to meet you”. Willy’s eyes shot open and he looked at the card in his hand. He had forgotten to take the card from the paper airplane. He did so and showed the two agents his real credentials which had almost killed him.
“Willy Stomper, huh” Joe said. Then all three agents shook hands. 007 told his story to Agents Oscar Willard (number: 045) and Joe Counsil (number: 319). When he had finished you could see the other two agents thinking. “The only thing we can do right now is get you home” Joe stated “We’ll contact Director Corsica about this and he can take it from there”. They all went into the side room where there was another door. Behind that door was a large hanger. An ASLI ASE Dragon 144 jet fighter sat in it.
“This is how I’m going to get back?” Willy asked. “Yep” replied Joe. Since all ASLI aircraft have the same controls (like water and land vehicles) Willy knew how to pilot the plane. Oscar explained that the fighter would transport him to the ASLI headquarters then he could drive to his house and the ASLI could make arrangements for him to complete his mission. Willy got in the cockpit and Joe pressed a button on the wall. The floor the fighter was on began to ascend. Oscar pressed another button and the roof of the underground hanger opened up to reveal the sky. The platform reached level ground. 007’s aircraft was on the NAS runway. He gunned the engine and instead of taking off down the runway shot up vertically into the sky like a helicopter, then Willy pointed his plane towards the ASLI base and was gone in a cloud of dust and jet noise before anyone noticed him.
A few hours later at the ASLI headquarters at 11:00 PM, 007 landed the Dragon in the same manner that he took off. Director Corsica ran out to meet him. “Agent Willard called us about your problem” he said and led Agent Stomper down the hall to the briefing room.
After they had sat down Director Corsica began. “We’ve been having some trouble with security lately. I’m sorry to inform you that the reason you failed to complete your mission was because of several Scorpion members inside this command center”. Here Willy broke in. “One dude was on the docks, then when my 327 malfunctioned I ended up in the Bahamas. He followed me and almost killed me”. “Your craft didn’t malfunction” Corsica replied “He hijacked our remote control center and stole one and while you were deep in the ocean, far away from any help he used the remote to open the hatch. It was a 100 to 3 chance of you dying”. Agent Stomper shivered to know how close to death he had been. Director Corsica continued “We know about him. He’s in a jail over in the Bahamas. We have satellites watching the building 247. If he gets out we’ll know”. Corsica finished there and told Willy to get some sleep. It was 11 o’clock at night and in one day he had gone from the ASLI base to the Bahamas to Atlanta, Georgia to Pensacola, Florida and back to the ASLI base.
Willy woke up ready for a new day. He noticed that the box that was beside his door the day before was still there. He decided to take it to Director Corsica. He ate breakfast and went to the briefing room where the director had told him to go. The director was waiting outside the room. “We’ve caught all the Scorpion members on base that I told you about yesterday” he said. Willy smiled. Corsica motioned for him to follow him. As they walked down the hall the Director explained to 007 that they were going to the ASLI prison. “You might have seen several security cameras that aren’t here now” he said. “Those were Scorpion spy cameras that will explode to”. He then fell silent as Willy told him about the box he found. Corsica told him it was a new hi-tech grappling that an agent from Zulu team had ordered.
