Here’s a sneak preview from my upcoming first book, First Degree Lust.

Hello my friends,
The following is the first of what will be many sneak previews from my upcoming book, First Degree Lust. It is a romantic/mystery/action/thriller. It takes place a few years in the future and centers on an American in Japan who has an affair with the wife of a former Yakuza boss and becomes suspected of her murder.
Now, I must inform you that there will actually be 2 versions of this book. The storyline and the characters, however, will be the same but one version will be longer than the other and will have slightly different dialogue. The longer version will also be, well, sexier than the shorter version. I’m doing this because I’m fully aware that many readers may not care for explicit detailed descriptions of sex even though a sexual liaison is the heart of this book.
So, if one were to buy both versions of the book you’ll notice that, due to the shorter version’s absence of detailed descriptions of sex acts, the dialogue in certain chapters will be different from what you’ll read in the longer version.
Each version will also have a different, albeit happy ending.
In either case, the book still has interesting twists and will be a good read. There will be romance, action, thrills and even a little light comedy.
The following excerpt you’re about to read will appear in both versions as is.

11:00am Sunday morning. Tokyo is already wide awake. In fact, many of those who were out late Saturday night had not yet returned home. When the bars and clubs close early in the morning many people immediately flock to the numerous cafes, noodle shops and stands, and restaurants that operate 24 hours a day to congregate throughout the night and early morning. From a certain standpoint, the city never slept.

When Dennis arrived at Shinjuku Station to change for the subway that will take him to Shiodome, the station was already packed with thousands of other commuters, some only now returning home from a night of fun, others coming in to report for work. Many were like him – just leaving the home of strangers they had met a few hours earlier. Even at this time of the morning he found himself bumping into other commuters who were scurrying through the corridors of the station to make connecting trains.
