The third chapter to my story. Hope you enjoy it.
10 minutes later I opened my eyes to see the passenger looking back at me again. He gave a smile when I caught his glance and I smiled back. “You really don’t recognize us?” I shook my head. “Damn… so much for media.” The driver and the guy next to me laughed. I leaned forward so I could look at the driver. His hair was even curlier than the passengers and his sideburns seemed immaculate. The corner of his mouth was pulled up in a half smile. He was about twenty, give or take a few years. “I’m Nick, Nick Jonas.” The passenger extended his hand and I shook it. “I’m Yanessa Green,” I said confidently. The old me was terrified. Who was this new person speaking? The boy next to me spoke next. “I’m Joe, and that’s Kevin,” he pointed to the driver who shot a friendly smile back. “You don’t look like you’re from here,” Joe said. I half smiled and replied “Nope, I’m from Mississippi. Home of nothing.” The guys cracked up and I smiled a little bigger. “So in Mississippi, they don’t talk about famous people?” My grin faded slowly. “Kinda, they talk about Brad and Angelina but that’s about it.” The boys frowned. “So, if we said, we were famous… you might not believe us?” the driver asked. I shrugged. “I dunno, I guess you guys could be famous, I mean you look famous. But everyone in L.A.does.” “Hmm…” Joe said, “I’ve never thought of it like that before.” The car slowed as a light turned red and every where people turned to stare. “OHMYGOD!” a girl shrieked. “IT’S THE JONAS BROTHERS!” Suddenly the car was ambushed by at least thirty girls, pushing pens and paper at the guys. I stared in amusement as the guys plastered on smiles and signed a few. Joe even gave a quick hug. Finally, the light turned green and Kevin sped off. The car burst into laughter. “Do you believe we are famous now?” Nick asked. I gave a smile and laughed “yes, yes I do.”
