It all began as an assumption, then it turned into betrayal and then a lust for extreme power. Four gods ruled peacefully over the universe and without hesitation, worshiped a master they know nothing about and had never seen throughout their existence.
They followed rules and speculations handed down to them only by previous gods before them, the rule of not interfering in the affairs of humans, because their master doesn’t interfere in theirs, and also the rule that fate was set only to their way of thinking. They did whatever they wanted, as long as it made their existence peaceful.
There were four gods, and therefore they had no need for names, they called themselves by the element they controlled: Water/Ice, Wind/Air, Lightning/Thunder, and Fire/Flame. They were taught to believe that there were gods that had powers which were superior to theirs and that any deviation from tradition would bring the wrath of their superiors down on them. This is what kept the gods in check for many millennia until that one fateful day, when the god of the thunder element – Macelleon – after watching over the actions of man for several millennia, seeing their capabilities for destruction and greed only growing more and more, thought to himself that if man continues to evolve in such a manner, they will one day have enough power to rival and challenge the power of the four gods and shortly, their ambition and greed will cause them to try and take the place of the gods.
Shortly after coming to that conclusion, Macelleon decided to convene with the other three gods, he told them what he has foreseen of the future of the four gods and man; then told them that they must take it upon themselves to control the evolution rate of man. The other three gods did not seem to be on the same page as Macelleon, the god of water – Excsion – was sure that the human’s greed and ambition would not be so great as to try and overthrow the gods; before they would try to attempt that, they would try and see if they would be able to live and coexist with them first. The god of Wind – Delilah – ensured that humans wouldn’t even go as far as to even try to reach a god like level; they would regulate themselves and wouldn’t need the gods to do it for them.
Finally the god of fire – Tiritotensai – told Macelleon not to worry, due to the belief levels of humans in their religion, it would be most likely that they would head in the direction Delilah had proposed, if not Excion’s path, Macelleon’s prediction would only be the worst case scenario and the predictions would be the phases that would get humans to that level; Tiritotensai also reiterated that those scenarios would only be possible only if humans knew of the existence of the four gods and their capabilities, then the humans would try to aim for a higher level than that of the gods. With all that was said, the meeting was ended.
