The master pulled a revolver from his pocket. He adjusted the silencer very quietly. Shabir thought that he was going to give that gun to him but he was stunned when the gun was aimed at him.

Chapter Seventeen-Master’s Justice

Next morning, when Shabir got up, the weather was clear. Though everything outside was covered with snow, the sun was shining.

He was about to leave the room, when the phone rang. It was the reception. Someone wanted to meet him.

The Receptionist: Good morning, Mr. Shabir.

Shabir: Good morning.

The Receptionist: One Mr. Rehman wants to meet you. He has brought the shawl you had ordered.

Shabir (confused): Shawl?

The Receptionist: Yes, he wants to come to your room. Shall I send him there?

Shabir (scratching his head): All right, send him up.

After a few moments, there was a knock on the door. He opened the door and looked at the visitor.

The visitor removed his hat and it shocked Shabir. Master was standing in front of him. He was smiling.

Shabir: You?

Master: Yes, I am here.

Shabir: But, you were never supposed to meet me.

Master: You created the situation.

Shabir: What? What have I done?

Master: Why did you come to India?

Shabir: I want to help Michael. He is innocent.

Master: There lies the problem. They have Michael. You meet Michael. They will suspect you and you will speak.

Shabir: What are you talking?

Master: These are very delicate matters, Mr. Shabir, and we have to be very careful.

Shabir: But I have not said anything to anyone.

Master: We know that but you are also a human being, and you can speak.

Shabir: No, I am going back to New York, tomorrow.

Master: You will be more dangerous there.

Shabir: How?

Master: They have already raided your house. They have found some money in your cupboard.

Shabir: What?

Master: We have millions of eyes and trillions of ears.

Shabir: But you must help me now.

Master: Of course, I am going to remove all the troubles.

The master pulled a revolver from his pocket. He adjusted the silencer very quietly. Shabir thought that he was going to give that gun to him but he was stunned when the gun was aimed at him.

Shabir: What?

Master: This is the only way out. We don’t want to leave any trace that leads back to us.

Shabir: But I promise you….

Before he could complete his sentence, Master pulled the trigger twice and two bullets entered Shabir’s heart.  He was unable to give the last cry because he had been shot point blank.

Master left the packet there, looked around, opened the door, and walked out of the room very casually.
