Chapter five of Gangsta’s Paradise.

Chapter 5

The drawbridge came down and the door opened and he slipped inside and grabbed his gun. Four guys, Jesse, Wolfe, Larry, and Dustin ran outside and began firing at the attacking richies. Everyone went to a window. The windows were covered up by boarded up two by 4s but in the center was a small gap that they could uncover and shoot out of. A murder hole. Closing the door Calvin went to the window in the kitchen. It was wider than the others were and had two murder holes. Opening the gap up by moving a small board on hinges aside he pointed his gun out and looked for a target he saw someone running down the hill and he fired. Zak came and stood next to him with his night vision goggles on. Thinking it was good idea he ran and grabbed his. Running back, he heard people on the roof. Everyone was yelling taunts and he heard Jesse on the roof. Another person he didn’t recognize. Suddenly he heard people banging at the door. Trying to break it down. Running to the door he pulled out the plug at chest level and fired out. He heard people yell “Out,” And he covered the hole up. He heard someone yelling retreat and then all became quite. Everyone who had been outside was out and came back in. They started their timers and prepped for a siege.

As they prepared Calvin said with his goggles sitting on his head, “Alright I bet their going to siege us. Me and Zak have night vision goggles. We’ll pass them to who’s doing guard duty. We’re going to have two people guarding at each end of The Cabin me and Zak will take first watch. One hour watches. Prepare your things and go to sleep. Turn out these lights.” Calvin pointed to the lights hanging from the roof. They shut off the lights and everyone used their own personal lights to see. Calvin watched the south side and Zak the north side. Calvin every so often went to the back of the cabin where there were no windows but he had made a small one he could see up the mountain with. He saw no one. They changed shifts and Calvin laid down. At five in the morning, his brother awakened him.
