We’re meeting the stubborn Irishmen Jonathan McIvory in this chapter. He’s known about this subtle power for some time now, but what does it mean?
“Jonathan, this is Alan Buchanan, he holds Manix’s angel over Wind. And Mayu Peppers, whom you’ve already met, is the incarnation of Saphora of the Water.” Morgan said as he pulled out a parcel from the storage compartment. As Alan and Jonathan made their greetings, Mayu tied the other maroba into the harness. Morgan handed the parcel to Jonathan. He opened it to find the same double-tiered cloak that Mayu and Alan were wearing, but his had an emerald green lining. “Alright, now that everything is in order, let’s get going. We have one last soldier to find.”
“Um, can I ask a question?” Jonathan said getting into the carriage.
“You just did…” Morgan said jokingly. Jonathan gave an exasperated sigh.
“I kid, what’s your question?” he beamed at him.
“Don’t other people see this odd way of transportation?”
“Well…They don’t. This carriage flies over the clouds. Not only that, but it’s invisible to those who don’t have our spiritual power.” He said as he went to pet one of the marobas. “Though they don’t look it, but they can fly as high as any air craft. They’re just as fast too. They can carry immense loads and travel for hundreds of miles without needing a break. Anyway, we need to find our last soldier, though it won’t be easy…”
“Why’s that?” asked Alan. Personally, he couldn’t wait to see the last soldier. His heart was filled with anticipation as the minutes ticked by.
“Well she was originally an orphan like you three; the only problem is” there was a short pause before Morgan continued. “…she’s been adopted…”
