Hello Jimmy.
Brian started his usual tasks, like checking the fish cage and gathering more food. Brian thought it was about 12:30 pm when he heard a rumbling, there was a plane coming, although coming in very fast and at a very strange angle, heading for the lake. Brian didn’t know what to think, would the plane get wrecked, would it crash land, would it swoop up again? In only 7 short seconds Brian was running for safety because the plane was crash landing like he did into the lake, but it wouldn’t be such an easy landing for this bigger search plane with more than just 2 people aboard! He ran faster than he had in months! He had to get away from that plane before it killed him! It was going to crash into him! All of a sudden, everything just, stopped. The plane that was supposed to save me crashed, it was like this area was cursed! The pilot and 3-man crew got out and swam to shore carrying what looked like a suitcase a bag, like my emergency pack and a black box. They looked very scared; I had never seen an adult this scared before, so I offered them some fool-bird and fish, and some water. They weren’t hungry. As soon as they got their bearings they asked me how I had survived so long and why I only activated the emergency transmitter so late. They brought their survival pack from their bigger plane and started going through it, pulling out matches, flares and special fire-starters, then they saw my fire and were amazed! They were very curious about how I started the fire without matches. They were so bewildered by how I managed to stay alive so long and make all my little inventions. I started to show them how to use my homemade spear and bow and we started to collect more food so it would last a while for all the people here now, 5. Who would have thought that 5 people could be stranded in the same place and come a different times! While they were collecting more food, I made more room in the shelter for all of us. We had decided that we would stay in the wilderness for 2 days, like camping then switch on the transmitter from both of our survival packs. It had already gotten dark by the time everyone got back to the shelter, only now did Brian learn all their names, the pilot was Thomas, the co-pilot’s name was Nathan, the two crew members were named Philip and Stephen. We all slept on the sand; tomorrow we would collect more pine needles for our last night before we enabled the emergency transmitter. During the day we ate most of our fish, fool-birds and berries, we would feast on the freezer packed meals tonight. Once we had eaten, we all went and found different pine trees to collect needles from, even I collected needles; mine were starting to get hard, dry and itchy. Once we made our pine needle bed we prepared the fire for cooking, boiled water and added some flavored drink packets and a water purifying tablet for the best taste. Next, we prepared the dry meals, we boiled more water, added mashed potato power, gravy powder to another pot and some dried chicken and fresh fool-bird to two different pots, one for a soup and one to eat with gravy. We got out some tin plates from the pack and put a lot of everything on them. We used almost all the food we had that night, when we were done eating, we turned on both emergency transmitters. In the middle of the night I woke up and thought I heard an engine very far off in the distance, but I couldn’t be sure, so I just went back to sleep. Almost 4 hours later all of us woke up to hear loud engines roaring! We looked out to see a plane with pontoons slowly landing on the water! WE WERE SAVED! When the rescuers got out we met them at the beach and explained what happened, they thought we had all died! I ran and got my hatchet to take back, I would hang it in my room, my hatchet had saved my life!
