Even worse when the ex carries a gun…
As he headed toward shore, he sloughed water off of himself with his hands and the drops flashed to pearls of sleet before they struck the path of ice under his feet. Kaileth hung back, sniffing around Linthice.
How… dare she? What business is it of hers what I do?
He nearly snarled under his breath. His mind, straining at his control, chose that moment to flash back, as he glanced over his shoulder at the sun sinking into the water. Kaileth, panting under him, clawing at his chest, his back, then giving him a quick, strange look, empty-eyed like an animal. She turned then, pushing into his loins, presenting him with the smooth silky mounds of her flesh, inviting him to mount her from the rear like a beast.
Lost in thought, he snorted softly. No wonder he had been so exhausted afterwards. She was a taker, all the way. While he caressed and loved and gave from his spirit, mindful of her lack of experience, she ripped at his soul, hungry. Perhaps he was too gentle for her. What she wanted was primal, soulless. He had wanted to cherish her loveliness, worship her as feminine divine. She had wanted him to fuck her like an animal.
He would have been better in her eyes had his heart stayed in the grave.
At the time the only thought that had crossed his mind was that it was strange for a female, experiencing sex for the first time, not to want to look in his eyes in that moment of joining. He had even wondered… What is she hiding?
And now he knew.
He could hear her chatting with Linthice behind him, acting the part for the moment, digging, really, for something she could use against her. Kaileth mentioned she was a hunter, patted the gun at her hip.
Zaraek turned to face the two at the shore, noting as he did a few errant tenders shuffling about, harmless to the death knights, no real threat to Kaileth either. Ahhh, Light… I don’t need this. I want to help Linthice heal from wounds far greater than anything Kaileth could understand. And here she steals the stage with her parade of petty peeves.
Tired of the games, he strolled casually beside Kaileth, hissing in her ear as he passed, “Are you jealous, Kaileth?” Behind her, he made a magical gesture, just the mundane stuff of the kingdom, to clothe himself quickly. Then he walked slowly back in front of her, coming around on her other side, between the two females, and turned to face her again.
Suddenly Kaileth’s face twisted into a snarl, and she drew her weapon and fired, point blank in his face.
