A priests fall into Darkness
Chapter 3: Lust.
Jessica and the kids had gotten to her mothers house; after walking into the house she told them to get settled in there rooms and come back out and sighed as they went to unpack in their rooms, she so dreaded having to tell them what was going on but they all needed to know. The kids came back from picking out their rooms and unpacking and sat on the couch; Jessica had looked at them and to her parents and took a deep breath. ”Okay, there is no easy way to say this. I had an affair with an old friend, and I had told Jack about it hoping to work through it and try to keep the family together, but he decided to throw things at me and yell and scream instead talking things out and being an adult… He also tried to strangle me.” She stopped a moment and looked back at everyone giving them some time to digest what she had said and waited for their responses.
The kids had looked in her in shock, “So, we’re not going to live over at the house anymore?” Gwen had asked. Jessica wasn’t sure of what to say as she wasn’t really sure of what she wanted to do just yet. ”For now we’re going to live here, your father is unstable right now and I think it would be a mistake to keep living there. I’m going to make sure that you and your brother won’t ever get hurt by him.” The kids had looked at each other and smiled, “We love you mom, and anything you decide we’ll back you on” they both had told her. She looked at the with tears in her eyes and smiled then went and gave them both a big hugs, “I love you guys so much, you are my life and I promise you that I won’t ever be like your father. You deserve better then that.”
Jessica asked to talk to her parents in private, so that had gone into the kitchen to talk. She knew her parents would understand. ”Mom.. Dad, I love you guys so much and really appreciate letting us move here until I can figure things out. Things are going to be difficult, and I know Jack won’t give up. He’s gone mad! If we can’t work things out, then I want to get a restraining order from him. Just don’t let him in the house, I don’t want him anywhere near the kids until he gets his anger problems worked out.” They both looked at her and nodded and had gave her a big hug then went outside and got into her car to go see her friend, she felt she needed to talk someone.
