Jan Jourge and Judd Sanders were cast members with Denise Shore in the TV series, "School Days". When they left the show they were cast in movies and were seeing success in movies that exceeded that in TV. Then a broken hydraulic line on a set scalded them with hot oil. Before they are even taken from the set the studio starts working to absolve itself of blame which will leave them without compensation.

“I’m Attorney Steve Garrow and I want to meet with Attorney Amanda Blair on a mater of representation.”

“Ms. Blair is not available at this time.”

“Could you have her give me a call within an hour? I’m across the hall.” He handed her his card. “It concerns the possible referral of a client to her. I am not an expert in tort law. I handle, that is my specialty is performing contracts. One of my clients is in a burn unit and has authorized me to act for her in obtaining counsel in a personal injury and possible workman’s compensation claim. I understand Ms. Blair is well versed in these matters.” He wanted to say, “The only reason I am here is because she is one of the sleaziest ambulance chasers in town and I know she will jump to get this case with a high profile client. She is a sleaze ball who will go to any lengths to run the settlement up to increase her fee.”

The receptionist looked up at him. She wanted to say, “Yesterday you were a pampas ass who wouldn’t have given Amanda the time of day if you bumped into her but now you need us. This morning you were calling us ambulance chasers and worse. You are probably thinking it now. But you need us so you are here using terms like “tort experts”.” But she said, “Could you take a seat for a couple minutes and let me see when Ms. Blair will be free.”

She picked up the phone and made a call. When she hung up she looked over at him. “If you can wait a couple minutes, five at most, she will be available.”

“Thanks. I can wait. This is really important.” As he said it his cell phone rang. The voice was Jan’s.

“Hi Mr. Garrow. This is Jan.”

“Yes. Is something wrong?”

“Judd asked why you were here. I told him. I hope it isn’t a problem that I told him.”

“No problem. He can know what you are doing.”

“Good. I told him you advised that I get a lawyer who was an expert in lawsuits and he and his parents thought that was good advice. They want to know if you recommend someone for me, could you ask if they would represent both of us if that is prudent?”

“It can be done but it isn’t a good idea if any of you could be held responsible for the accident.”

“We didn’t do anything to get our arms burned. Ow. I tried to move it. The bastards ruined my life. I want them to pay. We didn’t do anything wrong. We just sat there and got our arms cooked.”

“I’m in the lawyer’s office now trying to set up something for you. I will check with the tort lawyer what she thinks. If she sees it as not a problem I will tell her she may have two clients. Can you have Judd call his lawyer and have him call me. I will give them the name of the tort lawyer and see what he wants to advise his client. The lawyer is working me in, she is free. Got to go.”

The receptionist was motioning to him. He lowered the phone.

“Ms. Blair will see you. Follow me.”
