OUT IN A PARK

It’s sometime in the afternoon, children are playing at the playground, nannies and moms are watching them.

Nikita sitting on a bench, thinks of Michael and Adam as she caresses the PF3 unit and she wishes for a ‘normal’ life with them.  She even thinks of Mr Jones playing the part of being a grandfather to Adam.

NIKITA: This is not such a good idea afterall.

Nikita stands getting ready to go back to Section, when suddenly she sees a little boy looking like Adam running across the street chasing a ball.

NIKITA: Watch out!

Nikita rushes out to the road to catch the little boy before he can step off the pavement.  She takes a closer look.

NIKITA: Adam!!

She looks around eagerly, hoping to find Michael.

ADAM: Hi Aunt Nikita. My ball ran away.

Nikita with her heart in her mouth, looks at Adam fearfully.

NIKITA: Where’s daddy?

Just then a young woman runs up and snatches Adam from Nikita.

YOUNG WOMAN: Hey! Keep your hands off him!

Nikita looks at Adam.

NIKITA: Do you know her, Adam? Who is she? Where’s daddy, darling?

Adam snuggles closer to the young woman, as Nikita watches this, her heart aches to hear the words that would come out from either Adam’s mouth or the young woman’s.

YOUNG WOMAN: What’s it to you? Do you know Adam’s father? Who’s he to you? Are you trying to break up my family?

Nikita’s heart almost stopped when she heard ‘my family’ from this young woman’s mouth.

NIKITA: I’m sorry, I must have been mistaken.

Nikita is stricken as she makes her way back to Section.
