Dedicated to: Midnight Drakes.

The grand sacellum stood with pride atop the brilliant gold infrastructure. Any mortal to have seen such an architectural masterpiece would be completely dumbfounded by it’s magnificent design, from the plated precious metals that supported the structure at it’s illustrious base, to the roof looming high above. The statuesque columns were inscribed with angelic law at each of the pearly bases, and supported the flawless granite dome covering the complex. Diamonds embedded in each of the steps and windows reflected the perfect amount of light to cause small glints of radiating color contrasting from the white and gold palette everything else had seemed to adapt. The redhead standing before the Angelic Judgement Hall, “Ludicium Aula Angelicus” took a deep breath. Her heart was racing, she knew that she would not be able to walk out of the wondrous doors. Marli looked down, she began to feel a small hint of doubt about all this. Nothing bad had happened yet, so what was the real harm? Of course, there is always the risk of something, as Michael always told her. Bel grabbed her arm and began pulling her quickly to the entrance.

“Come on, we have to hurry!” The dark haired girl yanked her closer and closer.

“I can’t!! Let go of me!” Marli protested anxiously.

“Listen Marli, you may not know this but you are going to die in there unless we beat Night and Lanie, now if you don’t cooperate now, once we get in there, there’s no telling what will happen to you, do you understand me?” Bel, for the first time since the late eighties, was serious. In response, Marli simply nodded and began running along with her. The clock above the archangel statues struck once. They were close. The ground was shaking and the plates were cracking beneath their feet, yet they did not halt in their journey. The piercing screams quickly turned the dreamlike silence into a nightmarish hell. They were running out of time. Finally, they reached the building and avoided the chastising glares of the statues surrounding them. Marli slammed her hands against the door and it slowly opened. Famous angels were in panic and swarmed out of the sacellum urgently, their wings completely outstretched and exposed, something that only occurred in a state of incomprehensible apocalyptic danger. The screeches caused Bel to fall to the floor, writhing and screaming in pain. Marli knew she couldn’t help her, Bel would live, that was certain, however any mortals already inside the Ludicium Aula Angelicus were undoubtedly dead by then. Suddenly, it occurred to her as she was struggling to get into the quickly collapsing building. Nic was inside. Pooling blood of angels coated the floors, creating the perfect massacre. She screamed for him, and once she heard a small groan she ran toward the sound.
“NIC!!” She yelled again, just as she was about to find him, someone grabbed her, staining her pristine white dress scarlet. “LET GO OF ME!!” Marli thrashed around in protest.

“You have to get out of here.” The authoritative voice said and dragged her away. The presence of her father made Marli begin to lose it. With an unholy howl, her wings sprouted, Marlena became an absolutely grotesque image. Each of the bones in her spine showed clear beneath the skin, each of her muscles, flexed to an absolutely hideous position. Michael lowered his head and whispered with pain in his expression. “The fallen are rising…”
