Dedicated to: Midnight Drakes.

Marli put the dress in a bag and went over to Night’s house. As she rounded one corner, a familiar Ferarri stopped directly in front of her at an intersection. She slammed on the brakes and tried to avoid an accident, and while she did stop from hitting the car before her, the blinding light radiating from the car was impossible to ignore. She knew that sight. She knew why the light was there…The host in that car had just bonded with their angel. Marli exited the car and went to go see who it was, none other than Ben, of course. He lay limp, slumped over the steeringwheel. She began to worry and opened the driverside door, his hand, in one swift, fluent movement, harshly grabbed her arm and he snapped up to look into her eyes. “You…You…Come with me…” His raspy voice whispered eerily.

“What are you talking about, Ben?” She tried to yank her arm away, but his iron grip on her wouldn’t budge.

“Don’t call me that, that is a cursed name I resent passionately…” He said.

“Stop it, you’re scaring me…” She tried again to break away, but the outcome was only repeated.

“I’m Apollyon now, don’t question me. I fear the angel of truth has been dishonest with me. I must know what happened that night, the night I killed you.”

“What are you talking about? You never really killed me, Ben, stop this.”

“It was summer when I did-”

“No, the last night I saw you was when Eva had you fire me at your Christmas Party.”

“What…” He asked in confusion.

“You really don’t remember do you…” She was somewhat amazed by that.

“I need to know what happened.” He told her as he pulled her into the car and sat her on top of his lap, closing the door behind. “No one is leaving until you do exactly as I say.” The car doors all locked and Marli found herself straddling the lap of the now much more threatening Ben. She softly nodded and began to explain the events of the party.
