I got the story idea from a nightmare I had… scary.

Earl Kasidy Caldwell was in fact the most gloomiest person in London. And you could tell, too; His perfect face rarely smiled. His hair was jet-black, combed nicely to the side. His skin was unusually snow-white, unexposed to sunlight. He was tall and thin, with slender delicate hands worn from the writing of poetry. Kasidy’s eyes really caught the attention of passing by Londoners who awed his beauty. They were a golden-topaz color, that had a bronze edge around the pupil and could take the breath away of any young, unmarried woman looking for a suitor. On one such rainy, fall day, when the air was crisp and cool, and the leaves crunched under your feet while wet, the young earl strolled casually onto the porch of Wickham Palace, the place were the House of Lords had their meetings.

The young earl ran his right hand on the old brick wall that led to the feeble ivory staircase. His manservant Audric was nowhere to be found, and Kasidy got daily annoyed with him. It wasn’t that Audric was a horrible butler or anything; Audric was also Kasidy’s doctor, and brilliantly sewed him up after a carriage accident three years earlier. Kasidy felt a strange feeling toward Audric, and appointed him to be his manservant and butler. All went well, though Audric’s giddy side aggravated many people. It was meant to be, Kasidy always joked. The young earl went into the main room of the building, where the House of Lords had they’re many meetings about economy and stuff. Kasidy did have a seat in the House of Lords, but rarely came to any meetings because they bored him to death. Though the boy was nineteen, you couldn’t have a seat in the House of Lords if you were under twenty-one. Of course, you could always put the number twenty- one under your top hat, so really it wouldn’t be lying if you said you weren’t.

His father, a socialite, came to many, and filled Kasidy’s seat with women like, Jane, Martha, Courtney, and there were others, too. And he still didn’t understand what gave him the nickname, woman-using-cheating-imp, though many ladies were involved with his past. Kasidy was so beautiful, he could almost pass for a woman! I guess you could call it “seducing beauty”… The young earl sat down in his seat, (everything was red, including the benches) and slid his cane under it. The cane reminded him of the accident three years earlier, when he met Audric, and finding out he had twisted his left leg. Kasidy really didn’t care, though. Countesses still wanted him and counts were sill jealous of him no matter what. If only they knew how much pain was lying deep in his heart and soul… Kasidy put his head in his hand. “Here I am again, mum,” he said. “I utterly think God is doing this to spite me, otherwise he would of answered my rosary I tried to do with Llewellyn.” he looked up and smiled. “Or maybe I have a sick disease in my head that can’t be cured and God really isn’t doing anything to spite me.” Kasidy sighed. “Maybe it’s all in my head…….All in my head.” “It is all in my head, mum,” Kasidy said, “God wouldn’t forsake me now, would he?” The young earl got up, shocked by what he was saying.
