John before hanged    Anne before her suicide

All names have been changed. Facts are from open record.

If you read the first part of this series you know a good deal of facts. Anne, a prominent criminal attorney became obsessed with her killer client and it destroyed her life.It was Walter, Anne’s ex-husband that found the evidence that had sent Anne over the edge and  into suicide.  Walter wanted to vindicate Anne and restore her good name by showing how she was the victim of a clever sociopath killer, who brain washed her and made her his slave.Among the many letters from John strewn about Anne’s bed there was a last letter she clutched in one hand. Anne believed in the law and fair and honest representation. John’s letter discredited her as a officer of the law. He condemned her. It was his way of sentencing her to death.

The letter read, I am about to be hanged because of you. You pushed your needy sexuality on me. Confused my mind. You lead me down a court room fiasco for your your own vain glory. Your obsession with me clouded your intelligence. You gave me false hope. I have stopped eating. I can’t stand the thought of you. Like all the women I ever knew you are the worst. They were right in taking away your license. You have no business defending anyone. You are a mental mess. You deserve to die for what you have done to me. You have killed me.

Anne over-dosed with heroin three days after receiving this letter. Walter, always considered a passive puppet of Anne’s took the letter to the District Attorney. The DA related his sympathy but there wasn’t much he could do. He was interested in the letters in Anne’s apartment. One of his detectives who worked cold cases had brought up the mysterious death by burning of John Jone’s real mother. The Detective believed John had been guilty of more murders than he hung for and he wanted to investigate.

Great narration of what seems to be true crime. Well written and a cool read. Great work.
