An update to my previous post regarding my book.

After at least three attempts, I think I finally have it right.  I even had to contact Lulu via chat to get it figured out…they were most helpful.  I do have to say, I am a little bit smarter this afternoon than I was this morning.

Now, as I revised the book just a little, it now contains ten more pages which includes sections for notes; and a slight modification in content and back cover.  I am pleased with the results, and am hoping my mistakes have prevented some for anyone who takes the route of self publishing.  And just think, I will be doing it all over again when I finish my next book.

The price remains the same and for those of you who purchased the ebook version (I know who you are), send me a private message if you would like the revised version.  I will be most happy to oblige, as it was my lack of paying attention to detail which caused the errors in the first place.

Thanks for sharing. I know Lulu system isn’t the most user friendly system in using to get the book up and running. Thank you for sharing.

Self-publishing is always an adventure. I did it too although not with Lulu.

Well done Diane, I went the route of PublishAmerica and yes it was several trips back to the manuscript to get it right. Holding that book in my hand or seeing it in my friends hands makes it all worth it. Thank you for sharing your steps, this will give somebody a clearer route. Well done.

I am glad you are making headway in the adventure. I was a ghost writer some time ago where I edited manuscripts and am doing this again.. If you would like some help with editing and rewrite advice I would be pleased to provide the assistance

Nice work, Diane. I missed seeing your earlier article.

Hey D…Congratulations on completing the revision of your book…sounds like a very interesting book…hopefully I will be able to get a copy as soon as I get my dreaded income tax figured out…very kind of you to offer earlier book buyers the “new and improved” version…at least you didn’t do a recall. A few years ago I purchased a Harry Potter book about the time the publisher had issued a recall after it was realized that the pages were all mixed up. I have never read it and it is still in the bag that the book seller put it in when I bought it! I voted that I liked this one…thanks and take care…

I’ve looked into Lulu but was a little put off by some negative feedback I found when researching. I’m still unsure about this. Seems like you have had a good experience so far.
