There was a legend of a man who seemed to be so mediocre. He left his mark on how we think of tough life.
It was a misadventure to loss a job but it was good to depart from the limbo. The last day came, whether Hophen would like to accept it or not. He was so silly to think that he would have a comfortable day doing fewer tasks, having more lunchtime and especially working no more in the outdoor area. Pricking his dream of rhapsody by himself, he came back to the reality and breathed in deeply going out of male changing room. He believed that he had been able to endure so many things so far and it was not possible for him to fail to face the last day.
He was right. Lollipop still assigned him to do hard jobs other flunkeys could not share. In the first instance, he had to clear the puddle at the dip land under the third huge umbrella that protected sunshine and rainwater from falling down on customers’ heads. The amount of water was left by the overnight cleaners who cleansed the floor when all day workers were after work. Adding some cement to it could flatten the dip land but the lead did not ever report it to the maintenance. She only ordered her eyesore to clear the puddle every day. The job was really time-consuming and must make the shoes of the staff that cleared the puddle get wet. It was absolutely not efficiency of work but it was definitely a good tool for the lead to inflict a nuisance on him. That was her wicked reason not to report it to the department concerned.
As for the park managers, they had the responsibility to be on patrol every day. They should have detected the dip land and have gotten it repaired as soon as possible but they did not. When luck was not with him, everything would not give him a hand. If the maintenance had gotten it fixed early on, no more staff would have done extra and unnecessary jobs.
In the second instance, Lollipop ordered him to go to the depot to take the containers, cutlery and juice. The jobs of coolie were indispensable on his last working day and he was ready to confront the hardest day. However he could not stand that she abused her power again to deprive him of any chance of going to the toilet. It made him so angry that he had to report it to Andy, whether Andy would follow it up or not. The story was not at all complicated to understand. After transporting the goods, he came back to his work.
