I couldn’t realistically go North or I’d be in Pennsylvania and I decided to go West in search of a car, so I jumped onto Route seven and I drove over the Shenandoah river, resisted the temptation to break out into ‘Country Roads’ and I finally arrived at Winchester…
I had heard many horror stories about waiting lines and rude staff at the DSS offices in USA. I mean, their bad reputation had preceded them so I was on my guard not to say anything that might be misconstrued as provocative or anything.
I had the address of the DSS in Manassas so I flew down route 28 to the main drag of the city looking for the DSS building. There are cars everywhere, and it’s 4pm and I am starting to worry when finally I see the big sign ‘DSS’ so I pull into the car park. I virtually run around to the front entrance only to find it locked, I said to myself, “self,” I said, “@#$% it all” but then I looked at the window sign and noticed that the DSS had moved about a mile down the road so I jump in the car and flew down another mile and I just made it in the door as the guard locked up to take no more new people in that day, whew! virtually run around to the front entrance only to find it locked, @#$% it all”g. hing that might be misconstrued as provocativI had to take a number of course, and wait in the chairs but it didn’t take all that long. In fifteen minutes I was out of there with a SSN and Bob was once again my uncle, funny guy that Bob, he gets around.
