Fifth chapter, enjoy!

At lunch, Mackenzie handed Sydney her Starbucks vanilla latte and gave Sydney a light nudge. “Sydney, I don’t want Callie to sit with us,” she whisper-whined. “Hey! Don’t worry love, I’ve got it all under control,” Sydney said winking. Mackenzie shrugged and sat down on Sydney’s left. “Callie! Over here!” Sydney said perkily. Callie walked over to them, worry lines stuck in between her eyes. Sydney pat the chair on her right and Callie sat down. “Eh me gawd! That’s MY spot!” Lily said, as she approached the table. Sydney shook her head and pointed across from her where Katie was already sitting, looking like a puppy that just got kicked. Lily sat down in a huff. “So, Callie, I love this outfit don’t you?”

Sydney asked, as she sipped at her coffee. “Uh, yeah, I just got it the other day from the movie wardrobe.” Callie explained, fidgeting with the hem line of the skirt. “Well, since I don’t like dressing IDENTICALLY with people, we’ll have to fix something.” Sydney said, taking the lid off of her drink. “Wha—“ Callie started but she didn’t have time to finish, because Sydney had dumped her drink all over Callie’s outfit! Callie yelped as the hot liquid hit her skin and her face turned beet red. Sydney’s friends cackled as Sydney smirked. Callie’s Uggs, skirt, and shirt were ruined and her skin was blotchy from the drink. Tears trickled down Callie’s face as the whole cafeteria turned to laugh or gasp at her.

“YOU!” Callie said, pointing her finger at Sydney. Sydney raised an eyebrow. “You low, bitch!” The cafeteria was dead silent now but Sydney kept her face calm and composed. “You think you’re better than everyone and that people should worship the ground you walk on but your nothing but a bitch with a stick up her ass!” Callie screamed. “So, what are you?” Sydney asked calmly. Callie’s face turned into confusion and Sydney knew she had her. “So in eighth grade, you can just have SEX with my boyfriend? I don’t know about you guys but that is very SLUTTY in my book.” Sydney looked at her friends for support and they nodded and added a fact of their own. “On the 7th grade cruise you threw my one-of-a-kind designer Juicy purse over the side of the boat.” Mackenzie noted. “You painted “whore” on my face with permanent marker at a sleepover in 8th grade and it wouldn’t come off for weeks.” Lily added, scowling at Callie. “You made fun of my background and accent when I first moved here from England,” Katie added, staring Callie down. “The worst part,” Sydney added, “Was when you told me my mother deserved to die.” The whole cafeteria gasped again. “Ohmygod! Sydney! Why didn’t you tell me?” Mackenzie said, her hand over her heart. “It hurt too much,” Sydney said, her eyes welling up with tears.
