The kill was swift and executed cleanly. No one heard the silent screams of the guardsmen, as they were butchered mercilessly.Soon the Dictator Salvatore was to meet a fate much worse than anyone ever imagined. The Exiles were only just on the other side of the large, golden doors. No one knew they came in or out. No trace was left after the Exiles mutilated the the Dictator.
Later that night, the adviser came into the Throne room, when he felt something amiss. As the doors opened slowly the stench of corpses, flooded his nostrils. His eyes locked with cold dismembered remains of Salvatore and his guardsmen.Instantly vomit arose within him, but he managed to hold it back. Disbelieved he summoned Salvatore’s relatives and inform them of the loss.
Alton, Salvatore’s brother, summoned the nation’s, most well known detectives. Their job was to find the culprits of the murder of his brother. The detectives surveyed the city and room for any evidence, yet none was ever found. Alton, enraged at their failure, had them thrown out of the city. For weeks he questioned every soul in the city. Not one heard or saw anything.
“I know who killed the Basterd,” said a voice not regonized by Alton.
Alton responded, “Who says they know the accuser of my brothers murder?”
“I, Tephenis of the Exiles,” said the stranger.
Alton turned in shock as the first Exile he ever killed was standing before him , opposite of what Alton left him as, Alive. “H-H-How can t-this be?” stuttered Alton.
