What could have happened to my childhood friend Zac and I if we could have kept going with our music.

The Beginning

As I was walking down the street, I had noticed that my shoe was untied. I didnt bother with it though, no one would really care about it in the neighborhood I lived in. Me and Zac were heading down to the corner store, like we did every day to get a couple of sodas. We came out of the store, and saw a Uhal truck driving down the main road. We were too busy to wonder why it was moving.

We got back to my house and drank our sodas. Me and him were big on skateboarding, we loved it. But sadly, it was winter, and the roads had sand covering them. My room wasn’t too big but it was bigger than zac’s and the perfect size for me. Zac had picked up the guitar, from the corner of the room, and started playing it. Damn, he was good. We both loved rock, mostly the older stuff like Aerosmith, Kiss, and Steve Miller. Our neighborhood had been consumed by drugs and gangs, shortly after out friend Dana left. Which was years ago.

Zac had brown curl hair that was a little long. Mine was the same way except I forced it straight so it puffed up. And I was blonde. Zac was in the 5th grade and I was in the 7th. We had known each other since I was in 2nd grade. I had a little brother and little sister who were 4 and 5. Zac had a little brother who was 7.

“Hey Poli” Zac said (Poli was my nickname) “yea?” I asked back “member that uhal van from the other day?” “Yea.” “Well my dad said that the music store from concord just moved out. Maybe its them.” “Really? We should go check it out.” We did and it was amazing. Me and Zac were trying to make a band for some time now. Zac could play guitar very well, and I could sing and sorta play. I saw this bass on  a rack with a 99$ tag on it. Zac told me we could look at a new guitar for me. I told him I wanted the bass. I was in love with it. Little did we know that this was the making of history.
