The Conclusion of Rogue Lycan…Chapter nine.

Chapter 9: Warm Welcome to Nocturn

“Well, now that we know that, we’re going to switch priorities and try locate Lilia.” Mora said. “There’s probably some radio chatter on it, or simply an order.” Mora closed the search window and reentered Nocturn’s system.

“Are they really that lax that you haven’t triggered an alarm?” Sonluth asked.

“My actions will probably alert them in a bit, but they’re computer department isn’t the best in the world.” Mora explained, then she added mischeviously. “But then again, none of them have ever snuck into the Defense Department and Intel either.”

“Alright, just make it quick, and don’t get too cocky.” Sonluth said.

“No problem.” Mora said, then she added as a new screen came up. “Here it is. According to this order, they should be taking her to rendezvous with chopper in nearby Phazon High.” Once she found out this bit of information she logged out and turned off the computer.

“Still, that was a little too easy…” Sonluth muttered.

“Oh relax why don’t you.” Mora teased. “No wonder they boxed you up in a container. You have no social skills.” Sonluth muttered something in response, but it was inaudible to Mora as they exited the house and got back into the patrol car. They quickly drove off to Phazon High School. The school was in a small valley on the outskirts of the city, so as they approached it, they could see an ambulance waiting on the field.

“Think they’ve already left?” Mora asked as they drove towards the school.

“No… the helicopter is still coming towards here.” Sonluth responded. Mora was about to question him when she saw the lights in the distance from a helicopter. They parked just outside of the school yard and cautiously proceeded out to the field. The outside security lights were still on, so they made sure they kept to the shadows and out of the ray of any lights. They hid behind some dumpsters and waited for an opportunity to make their move. They saw Lilia unconscious on a stretcher near the ambulance, and a few armed guards nearby.

“Ok, we’ll make this quick when the helicopter is about to touch down.” Sonluth said to Mora. “It will be when they least expect something, and if they do, they won’t be able to hear us over the helicopter engines.”
