Quinn explains things to Kayla and they make up. Glenn and Lana have a date.
Two days had passed and Kayla hadn’t spoken to Quinn. Every time he would get close to her she would walk away. Kayla was subdued as she walked with Ruby and Anita to the cafeteria. Ruby noticed that Quinn and Kayla definitely needed someone’s help getting back on track. “I’m not just trying to be a nosey old woman and I’m not a gossip, but you really should talk about it. Come on you can talk to us about it,” Ruby said.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Kayla said.
“Well, if you won’t talk to us about it then you really should resolve things with Quinn,” Anita said. Just then Quinn walked up behind them. “Excuse me ladies, I really need to talk to Kayla alone,” he said as he took her gently by the elbow and led her off by herself. Kayla jerked her arm from him and said, “I don’t need or want to talk to you. You’re a hypocrite,” she yelled and walked away. Quinn looked around at the teens that were looking at them and was slightly embarrassed. “Kayla! We have to talk. You can’t just ignore things and expect them to go away!” He shouted after her as she walked on toward the cafeteria.
“Pastor Quinn,” Ruby said as she walked over to him. “I’d like to help you. You’ve been there for me so many times and I can never repay you for being there for me when my husband died. I can see you need someone there for you right now. I know Kayla is angry at you about something and I’m sure it’s just a misunderstanding.”
“What did she tell you?”
“She won’t talk about it. The only thing she told me was that you lied to her.”
“I didn’t lie to her. You’re right… it’s a misunderstanding.”
“Well, whatever it is, it’s none of my business, but I would like to help you two get back together if I can. I think you two belong together.”
“If I could just get her to listen to me, I could explain what she’s misunderstanding and everything would be all right,” he said running his fingers through his hair in frustration.
“Ok, here’s my plan,” Ruby said. “Tonight we will get ready to go to the concert. I’ll find a way to stall her until everyone else should have already left for the concert. Then when we walk out of the cabin to go to the concert, you should be ready to kidnap her.”
