Sgt. Rock: Operation Impending Doom

The Briefing

Nordby and Waller did the fists together and then pulled them apart open making an explosion sound and then performed a little war dance.  Luoma added, “Good riddance.”  Nush looked at Sgt. Rock and gave him a wink. 

This meant that the CIA had done their job right for once.  Neither Sgt. Rock, nor Specialist Nush was big fans of the outfit, even though they had both worked for the “Company” on occasion.

Colonel Fog continued the briefing, “This mission is going to change the course of history, and the tide of this war.”  The Colonel took in a deep breath and continued, “The Black Watch has been charged with the elimination of Osama Bin Laden.” 

“I saw this coming.”  Nordby adds.  “Hell, we all knew this was coming, the hammer is falling and we are on the round.”  Nush says.  Luoma adds to the banter, “Man, it is fuckin’ a cold in Afghanistan this time of year.”

“Lucky for you, buddy, he is in Pakistan and not Afghanistan.”  Sgt. Rock says.  Waller blurts out, “Fuck those hajji bastards, I don’t know why we don’t just drop a nuke on the whole works and build a fucking World Trade Center on its ashes.

Colonel Haze says, “My sentiments exactly.  Our sources indicate that he has been making satellite phone calls from near the Swat Valley, Peshawar to be exact.  He has been hanging out with the regular civilian population, buying protection as he goes.  Money talks in this part of the world, as you all well know.”

Sgt. Rock says “Well, what is the plan, and by ‘our sources’, you mean the magic 8 ball in my locker, right?”

            “Very humorous and unhelpful.  Here are the bare bones of the operation.  You will fly first class (C-130) overseas to Germany, and from there, you will fly again, enjoying the comfort of first class seating to Kazakhstan.  He finished with, “Nush, how is your Russian?”

            “My Russian is better than your English, comrade.”  Nush replied in Russian.  Then in English.  “I have enough training, but the dialect of the region is going to be tough to nail down, you know, the local accent.  Download some local speech to my mp3 player.”
