Payton Paige is unable to comprehend what’s suppose to be happening. Is this really happening to her, god must be extremely cruel. Atleast that’s how she’s feeling.

*Chapter 1*

The Beginning Of Nothing

Tears ran down my face as I seen his mangled body lie upon the hard gravel. His legs sprawled out in front of him, I couldn’t help but whimper at the sight of my father lying on the curb dead. His face was distorted from the bruises that lied perfectly upon his dark complexion. I tried to run to his side but my feet were planted to where I stood, my voice lost in my throat as I tried to scream for help.

Flashes of blue and red hovered on top of a blinding white truck, two tall figures strapping what was left of my father onto the stretcher and carefully piled him into the truck and drove off. Again my feet planted against the dark cold gravel, I stood there wearing nothing but my pale yellow house coat. My pale bare feet getting wet and cold as water drenched me from the dark sky that shone upon my pale face.

I had just watched as three figures brutally beat my father to the ground, my dad doing nothing but pleading for his life. He fought back as much as he could before they all attacked him at once, for then he did not stand a chance.

“Please, I have a family.” he cried out between blows to various parts of his body. “My kids need me, my wife.” his grunts were so crucifying I couldn’t bear to look at what was going on, but I could not move a muscle and therefore I was forced to watch my father beat until his death.

Nobody spoke, they just continued to hit with their fists, anything they could get their hands on. One picked up a large pipe and hit him in the back of the head, before they retreated.

My body followed as he crawled upon a curb and sprawled out gasping for air, before he finally stopped.

Wow! I have to say, it seem so haunting. I had tears in my eyes. I can’t wait to finish it.
