“Where are we going to get the money?” Dixie asked.
“I’ll get it out of my account, that will be our first stop.” I responded.
We drove down the canyon on a bright spring morning. The trees were getting their leaves and the snow was disappearing and running off into the streams that pumped the Salt Lake valley with life. I had gotten used to the sights just being wobbly blurs. Driving like this through the canyon was refreshing. I held my hand out of the T-top of the car and felt the wind rush by. If I were to do this in Justice, my hand would break right off.”
We reached the valley and drove to the nearest ATM. “How much are you getting?” Dixie asked.
“All of it” I said as I Drained my account. I didn’t want anybody to find my name if they were snooping around at a bank.
I showed Dixie the way to Super Sonic car wash where the legendary detailing guru name Matt worked. Matt was a character, some say he is crazy, some say he is magic, others say he is a genius. Well, whatever the case, he could get this car clean.
We pulled into the empty car wash and parked under the detailing tent. One of the employees approached me. “What will it be?” he asked.
“I’m here to see Matt.” I said
“Not just anybody sees the great one.” The detailing attendant said.
“The great one?” I said, “He would detail my police car all the time, yeah he was good but uhh…. Great one?”
“He is considered by many scholars to be the god of car detailing” the attendant said. Was this guy for real?
“Which scholars?” I asked
