Follow the story of Treydon Austin (aka Smokey) as he chases down the cleverest, fastest, most uncatchable, most unmatchable members of The Bandit’s crime Syndicate as the government’s secret weapon against guys who are just too fast to catch. Check back every monday for the latest chapter to this fast paced action novel.
“Uhhh,” I droned like an idiot, “No I wasn’t staring, there was this fly and he was just buzzing around like there was no tomorrow you know? So I was like following it and it just dive bombed to the ground, then I lost it.” yeah that was smooth, the ol’ fly was buzzing thing… right, very believable. Well, not really.
She just giggled. “Your funny,” she said as she smiled. Oh man, was that the smile to end them all. It made me sweat. My brain locked into duh mode. She had perfectly white teeth aligned neatly in rows, and the smile itself just added this glow to her whole face. It was brain numbing, in fact, that’s exactly what it did.
She opened her mouth again, “Is that your black Camaro?” I shook my head to help bring myself down from cloud nine and back to reality. “How did you know?” I asked. Did she see me get out of it; I did have Auto class just before this one. Oh no, auto class! I had grease all under my fingers and I smelled like burnt rubber. I hope she didn’t notice.
She opened her mouth; she was going to talk again. I shuddered at the thought of her smooth voice. “Well you’re covered in grease, you smell like Chevy exhaust, and you are wearing a jacket that says ‘Camaro Z28’ on it.” she giggled again. Holy crap! I’m such an idiot. DUH! I’m wearing my flipping Camaro jacket.
“Uhhh yeah. Very uhhh clever deduction.” Oh no, wrong thing to say, that sounded smug and sarcastic, this is where it ends for me as far as talking to pretty girls go.
It was odd, that’s not where the conversation ended. She laughed again and said “I have a Trans-Am you know I have Auto the period before you I think.” Holy freaking crap, I seriously look up and said under my breath, “Thank you god.”
“What?”
“Nothing, just uhh, coughing a little. You know, one of those uhhh, little cough things…”
