Continuation of my short novella.

12-23-08:

Waking up in the middle of the ocean was not as exciting or visceral as Ray had imagined.  The sub-spaceship was very comfortable, and had all the amenities of home life.

Ray thought that breakfast would be out of the question, but he was wrong.  The alien prepared an adequate breakfast and Ray wasn’t disappointed.

Afterwards, they continued their journey.  At first the sea was ruff, but soon settled afterwards.  As the alien had told Ray, the spaceship was not very fast; the sub was going roughly 80 miles per hour; 80 miles per hour was below par for such an advanced alien civilization.

They stopped for lunch in the middle of nowhere.

“Wasn’t there something you wanted to say to me?”  Ray asked the extraterrestrial.  “No–oh you mean about Paul, correct.”  the alien replied, “Yes!” was Ray’s response.  “Well, Paul wasn’t 100% human; Paul’s mother was human, but his father was one of us.”  the alien’s reply.  “I have lots of questions.” Paul said, “You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to hear more about Paul; tomorrow I’ll reveal more information about Paul, and you’ll know everything.”

Dinner was actually quite delicious.  They dived deep into the ocean floor, and ate lobster.

It had been a long day.  It was late, and they both turned in.
