“What is that ungodly smell”
“That would be the dead rats, but that’s not what i called you here for”
“What other kind of work could you have in store for me,” I say as i hold my nose tightly.
“Some welding and things of that general nature. Do you know how to weld?” asked the professor sounding very confident.
“Not in the slightest.”
“Than this manual should help.” the professor tosses me a manual that he grabs out of his desk. He than turns on the light switch. There is a large steel circular frame with many lights, wires, levers, buttons and the like attached. There is a ramp going up to the hole in the steel. The professor pulls out his laptop and connects a wire coming out of a hole in his desk to the side. “Would you mind plugging me in, dear boy?” I walk over without saying a word to him, grab the plug sticking out of the bottom of the desk and look for an outlet.
“Where can I plug this in at?”
“Um. right over there.”
“It doesn’t reach.”
The professor gets out of his chair by his desk and walks over to a closet. As he limps over to the closet I notice in the corner of the room three miniature versions of the large object that sits in the middle of the room. They look as if they could just barely fit inside of the large one. there is a forklift parked next to the other three steel circles.
“Professor, what have you been doing in here?”
An echoed voice calls from the closet “Research”
“What are you researching? And how long did it take you to construct these?”
“I am researching the fourth dimension.”
“Did you do this all by yourself? and what do you mean by the fourth dimension.?”
“One question at a time my boy. What is the first dimension?” Asked the professor
“A strait line.”
