Captain KL starts to look for the treasure.
9th October 1745…
Through sign language again, the archers had instructed Capt. K.L. and his crew not to go up the Andes right now, because of the risk of many dangerous animals. Instead, they camped at the base of a mountain.
Next morning, everybody ate breakfast and were ready to scale the mountains.
“Are we there yet?” said Jimbo. “My feet are aching already”
No, we’re not even halfway through, according to the archers” replid the Captain.
The words “Are we there yet rung through the group at every odd moments, until they were nearly at the treasure site. “We are nearly there! “said Captain Killer Lizard loudly. A few more minutes and we are at the top!” The crew cheered happily as they started discussing what they would do with their share of treasure. But as they reached the peak, all smiles were gone, instead of treasure, they faced an army of Native Americans holding spears at the ready. The archers who guided them were also surprised, but for a moment. Immediately, they spoke to them in their language. After a few minutes, the army cleared their path, though, still held their spears at the ready. As they walked through the pathway, a king came into site. “Welcome to my Incan kingdom,” said the King. “I know what you are looking for. Also, I know you are surprised to hear me speak English. This is because I have learnt it myself to talk to other Englishmen before you. Now give me your treasure map so i can tell you where your treasure is.”
Captain Killer lizard gave him the Treasure Map, though he was suspicious of him, so he had put his right hand on his sword on the ready of killing him if he intends to steal it. The King examined the map closely and after a few minutes… “I know where your treasure is, there are clues on the map, one includes some unique trees pointing to a direction and some darker grass marking the X. I will show you what to do and tell you where the X is. Also, be wary of any creatures that roam our mountains.” said the King. After minutes of telling Captain Killer Lizard about how to get to the treasure, how it is hidden in a forest, and what creatures to look out for. “Good luck my friend” said the King
“Bye!” said the crew.
Captain Killer Lizard, his crew and the archers followed their path to the treasure which the King told him to go. They had marched for days, resting only when it’s needed and then, made it to the forest where in the middle, treasure was laiden with jewels and gold…
