The Secret Service – Custer’s last stand.

She checked her weapon, removed the regular clip, ejected the regular round from the chamber and replaced it in the regular clip. The regular clip went into an open slot in the belt. It would only be used tonight if she exhausted the one hundred eight rounds of special ammunition. That would take nearly two minutes of continuous loading and shooting. If a firefight ensued and that scenario were to unfold she and the president’s family would likely not survive the evening. It was unlikely she would expend that much ammunition unless she was badly outnumbered and if that occurred she would probably not survive the fight. If she lost the fight, the president’s family would probably not survive.

She pulled out the lone red clip, loaded it, chambered a round, clicked on the safety and placed the weapon in the holster. The belt with the eight red clips went around her waist. She checked the backup piece n the bag. It was ready. It already had a red clip. This would be with her for the night.

With the housekeeping done she then took her place on the sofa where she could see the bedroom and entrance doors. The President’s family was in a safe place for the night. The men and women outside would do their best to see nobody entered the room. It was Sandra’s job to see that if somehow someone got past them, the threat would be neutralized. That meant that someone would probably die.
