The reason for the attack makes it no more understandable.

“Great, about how long?”

“Less than a half hour.”

“Great, then I can really get out of bed and move about.”

The president left the room for a conference.  He returned about an hour later to find Jaci crutching around the room like someone confined.  Judi and Mitzi were sleeping.  Jaci had turned down the medication for pain.  The others had taken it and it made them sleepy.  Her dad told her he had to get back to the office for a while.  She kissed him and told him to go they would be fine.  As he left he turned to her and said, “I know they’ll be fine, you’re here to take care of them.  Just take it a little easy on them.  They are not as tough as you are.”

Late in the day a psychologist visited Jaci.  She began to talk to her about her loss.  She then spent some time with Judi and Mitzi.  When she left she wrote her notes.

They began, “Jaci has pretty well come to grips with her injuries.  She may be ignoring some hurdles and some of the problems but she is totally focused on moving on.  If she continues this she will be fine.

Judi is still hoping that this is a dream, an awful nightmare that will go away.  At some point she will need to realize it is for life.

Mitzi is still not completely sure of what has happened….”
