The women were brought to the PT area today for some walking practice.  Before they left their room the casts were removed and they were fitted with the pylons.  They got a half hour of exercise and were brought back to the room.

The check of the restroom and the noise in the hall was repeated.  Kathy waited till the noise in the hall subsided and peaked out.  The hall was empty.  She went out, pulled her camera off the gurney, stopped it, slipped it into her backpack and left the hospital.  She took a cab home and curled up on the sofa with the phone.  She called Jason’s office and left a message for him to pick up Kara at the day care.
