DAY 10

Jason called the White House and asked if his appointment could be delayed for a couple of days that Kathy had been admitted to the hospital and would be unable to be there.  He was put through to Betty Jarvis who immediately agreed to the change.  She felt the longer this meeting was delayed the better the chance of delaying a leak.  He spent the day with Kathy, leaving the hospital only to arrange for care of the baby and to pick up things he would need the next morning.  He would sleep in her room that night, wake early in the morning and get ready for his appointments.    He would be with her most of the time.

Kathy was still in the fog of anesthesia and pain killers for most of the day.  She was almost totally unaware of what had happened to her and what was continuing to happen to the country.  The night was worse than any before.  The police in many cities were being overwhelmed by the number of hate related incidents.  Forces were being stretched thin.  City mayors were petitioning the governors of the states for help.  Some requested National Guard troops be dispatched.
