Chapter 3: Ignorance was definitely bliss.
Weeks passed and i learnt more of my abilities everyday but there was a growing unhappiness in me as well as a growing curiosity eating me up from inside. It kept recurring to me-
how i become a guardian? what decides what makes me a guardian? who decided? and how did mom become evil? what is for dinner today…….?
(the omniscient eye: i can look at any place i want at any time, for however long, and without any one realizing…hehe had some good times with that power)
The last of my questions was answered immediately. i simply used my 3rd eye to check out what mom was cooking back at home..that is if you can call using spewing flames from one’s mouth to cook the food. What happened to good old stoves. I think mine is melted and useless somewhere since the day my mom found out about her “hot” ability.
My dad too has been exploring his abilities and he has the unfortunate(according to my mom) to influence the emotions of any individual to a positive emotion. So now he never gets shouted at back home, has a great time in bed whenever he wants it(thats the way to do it!) and hits on any girl he wants with the cheesiest and corniest dialogues. I think i’m supposed to be mad at my dad for the flirting thing but i can see that he’s just experimenting(i think) or am i not getting angry because he’s used it on me as well….hmm something to think about.
Apart from the omniscient eye i discovered alot of other interesting things about my abilities…i can convert any object i touch to a weapon of choice(last week a guy at school asked me to pass him an apple from the fruit cart, i threw it to him..by the time it reached him it was a miniature dagger). I can also breathe indefinitely underwater, i am impervious to fire, i dont feel cold anymore and my greatest ability one which no one shares with me- I CAN LICK MY ELBOW!!!!!!!! thats because i can break my bones and join them back together with ease. So you can probably understand how i managed to lick my elbow and…….my back, the back of my head,my forehead and many other places i would not feel appropriate to mention.
